     Edward Acton Acton was born on 11 December 1767.¹ He was the son of Elijah Barrar and Frances Acton.¹ He married Frances Elizabeth Spurgeon, daughter of John Grove Spurgeon and Ann (?), on 27 December 1804.² He died on 5 April 1822 at age 54.¹
     He was given the name of Edward Acton Barrar at birth.¹ On 6 June 1791 his name was legally changed to Edward Acton Acton by Act of Parliament.²

     Frances Elizabeth Spurgeon was born in 1784.¹ She was the daughter of John Grove Spurgeon and Ann (?)^1,2 She married Edward Acton Acton, son of Elijah Barrar and Frances Acton, on 27 December 1804.¹ She died in 1879.¹
     From 27 December 1804, her married name became Acton.¹

     John Grove Spurgeon was baptised on 10 April 1747.² He married Ann (?)² He died on 1 August 1829 at age 82.² His will was proven (by probate) on 22 September 1829.²
     His last will was dated 17 September 1828.²

     Edward Farrer Acton was born on 25 September 1805.¹ He was the son of Edward Acton Acton and Frances Elizabeth Spurgeon.¹ He married Mary Ann Suckling, daughter of Horace Suckling, on 10 April 1832.¹ He died on 28 November 1890 at age 85.¹
     He matriculated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1825.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1827.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Shropshire Militia.¹ He resigned as at Gatacre Park, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England^G.¹
