     Farrer Grove Spurgeon-Farrer was born on 12 July 1783.2 He was the son of John Grove Spurgeon and Ann (?)2,3 He married Mary Anstruther, daughter of David Anstruther, on 13 April 1809.1 He died on 12 October 1826 at age 43.1
     He was given the name of Farrer Grove Spurgeon at birth.3 In 1799 his name was legally changed to Farrer Grove Spurgeon-Farrer by Royal Licence.3 His last will was dated 4 August 1819.3

     From 1836, her married name became Mitford.1 From 5 January 1852, her married name became Hodson.1
