     Sir George Lionel Prescott, 5th Bt. was born on 25 October 1875.1 He was the son of Sir George Rendelsham Prescott, 4th Bt. and Louise Franklin Lawson.1 He married Elizabeth Hughes Meicer, daughter of William Meicer, on 9 November 1932.1 He died on 20 June 1942 at age 66, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Prescott, of Theobald's Park, co. Hertford [G.B., 1794] on 29 July 1894.1 He fought in the Boer War in 1900.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Life Guards.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was Aide de Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland in 1916.1 He fought in the North Russian Expeditionary Force in 1919.1

     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 10th Hussars.1 He was Private Secretary to First COmmissioner of Works in 1914.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1916, where he was wounded.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Prescott, of Theobald's Park, co. Hertford [G.B., 1794] on 20 June 1942.1
