Rear-Admiral Frederick Wilbraham Egerton was born on 8 December 1838.1 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Egerton and Charlotte Catherine Milner.1 He married Mary Augusta Phipps Hornby, daughter of Admiral of the Fleet Sir Geoffrey Thomas Phipps Hornby, on 5 November 1879.1 He died on 4 January 1909 at age 70, without issue.1
