Lavender Mary Jex Jackson was born on 11 July 1927.2 She was the daughter of Francis William Jex Jackson and Mary Margaret Cotton Minchin.3 She married Sir Alexander Keith Maitland, 8th Bt., son of Lt.-Col. Sir George Ramsay Maitland, 7th Bt. and Jean Hamilton Findlay, on 17 March 1951.1 She died on 6 May 2021 at age 93.2
From 17 March 1951, her married name became Maitland. She lived in 2003 at Burnside, Forfar, Angus, ScotlandG.1

Sir Richard John Maitland, 9th Bt. was born on 24 November 1952.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Keith Maitland, 8th Bt. and Lavender Mary Jex Jackson.2 He married Carine Celia Ann Coldwell, daughter of James St. George Coldwell and Rosemary Ann Pryse-Rice, on 21 November 1981.1 He died on 14 January 1994 at age 41.1
He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Maitland, of Clifton, Midlothian [U.K., 1818] on 18 July 1963.1
