Colonel Francis Powell Braithwaite was born on 2 November 1875.2 He was the son of Reverend John Masterman Braithwaite and Elizabeth Jane Powell.1,2 He married Lady Victoria Alexandrina Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, daughter of Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava and Hariot Georgina Rowan-Hamilton, on 1 October 1920.1 He died on 23 December 1952 at age 77.1

Annabel Hall was born on 24 June 1956.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Armitage Hall and Marie Antoinette Hornby.2 She married Hon. David Richard Sharples, son of Sir Richard Christopher Sharples and Lady Pamela Newall, Baroness Sharples, on 19 December 1981.1 She and Hon. David Richard Sharples were divorced in 1988.1 She married, secondly, Nicholas Barley on 26 October 1993.1 She died on 29 December 2007 at age 51.3
