     Sarah Rimes was the daughter of James Rimes.² She married Thomas Andrew Minchin, son of Richard Minchin and Elizabeth Lipscomb, on 28 February 1788.¹ She died in July 1806.¹
     From 28 February 1788, her married name became Minchin.

     Richard Minchin was born in 1790.¹ He was the son of Thomas Andrew Minchin and Sarah Rimes.² He died in September 1791.¹

     Susan Mary Cherry was the daughter of Peter Cherry.¹ She married James Minchin, son of Thomas Andrew Minchin and Sarah Rimes, on 18 October 1821.¹ She died on 3 December 1875.¹
     From 18 October 1821, her married name became Minchin.

     James Innes Minchin was born on 12 March 1825.¹ He was the son of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry.² He married, firstly, Mary MacLeod, daughter of John MacLeod, on 24 September 1849.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Duff Anne Dickson, daughter of Robert Dickson, on 11 December 1877.¹ He died on 18 January 1903 at age 77.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He was with the Madras Civil Service between 1844 and 1873.¹ He was Member of the Council of India.¹

     James George Cotton Minchin was born on 8 February 1851.¹ He was the son of James Innes Minchin and Mary MacLeod.^2,1 He married Margaret Evans, daughter of William Evans and Mary Nicholson, on 13 April 1887.¹ He died on 27 March 1933 at age 82.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Bonn University, Bonn, Nordrhein-Westfahlen, Germany^G.¹ He wrote the book Bulgaria Since the War.¹ He was a practising Solicitor.¹ He wrote the book Growth of Freedom in the Balkan Peninsula.¹ He wrote the book Old Harrow Days.¹ He wrote the book Our Public Schools: their Influence on English History.¹ He was Consul-General of Serbia between 1883 and 1885 at London, England^G.¹

     William Evans was born on 5 March 1807 at Bolton, Lancashire, England^G.² He was the son of Joshua Evans and Mary Smallwood.^3,2 He married Mary Nicholson, daughter of Matthew Nicholson, on 17 July 1834 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.⁴ He died on 18 September 1881 at age 74.³
     He lived at Crumpsall Grange, Cheetham Hill, Lancashire, England^G.⁵

     Margaret Evans was born on 2 December 1856.² She was the daughter of William Evans and Mary Nicholson.^3,2 She was baptised on 21 December 1858 at Unitarian Church, Manchester, Lancashire, England.² She married James George Cotton Minchin, son of James Innes Minchin and Mary MacLeod, on 13 April 1887.¹ She died on 25 December 1943 at age 87.¹
     From 13 April 1887, her married name became Minchin.
