Alan de Tatton Egerton, 3rd Baron Egerton of Tatton was born on 19 March 1845.1,2 He was the son of William Tatton Egerton, 1st Baron Egerton of Tatton and Lady Charlotte Elizabeth Loftus.1 He married Anna Louisa Watson-Taylor, daughter of Simon Watson-Taylor and Lady Hannah Charlotte Hay, on 13 June 1867.1,2 He died on 9 September 1920 at age 75.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 5th Volunteer Battalion, Rifle Brigade.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Mid-Cheshire between 1883 and 1885.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Knutsford between 1885 and 1906.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Cheshire Imperial Yeomanry.2 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Chester.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Egerton of Tatton, co.
